The Foundation is committed to preserving, protecting, and restoring ecosystems, as well as mitigating the effects of growing environmental challenges that threaten humans and wildlife. Caerus supports science education and awareness building to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards and engage communities in safeguarding natural areas, primarily in the Midwest.
Habitat Protection
Conserving land and water for current and future generations by safeguarding and restoring priority landscapes and species, including natural shorelands, woodlands, wetlands, grasslands, and birds.
Awareness Building
Strengthening public support for environmentally-friendly policies through communications and outreach, grassroots education and training, and building the capacity of organizations to advocate for a more healthy and resilient environment.
Science Education
Connecting youth and families to nature and investing in education programs that promote environmental stewardship, wildlife exploration, and hands-on learning experiences.
Funder Collaboration
Co-investing with public and private partners to expand funding sources, share expertise, and drive conservation efforts in the Midwest. Emphasis is on improving habitat and water quality in Wisconsin’s Lake Michigan watershed.
